To foster future environmental leaders, researchers and engineers who take active roll globally, CEEIPO directs three main International Programs.
Forefront Program on GLOCAL civil engineering leaders for co-development of Asia and Japan

Started in 1987, Forefront Program aims to develop GLOCAL Civil Engineering Leaders who will lead the sustainable co-development of Japan and Asian countries by building high-quality infrastructure that is finely adapted to the regional characteristics of Asian countries in response to rapidly changing global environmental and disaster prevention issues.
Over 360 students from 36 countries participated up to 2024.
NUGELP – Nagoya University Global Environmental Leaders Program

NUGELP was established in 2008 to develop Global Environmental Leaders who are able to identify and investigate environmental problems from a global perspective and propose practical measures to solve them in the world.
Over 340 students from 38 countries participated up to 2024.
Nagoya University Global 30 International Program of Civil and Environmental Engineering

Global 30 Program is an international master’s/doctoral program aiming to foster future global leaders who can achieve high-quality social infrastructure improvement. It offers a comprehensive curriculum through which students will be able to propose and implement concrete solutions toward problems related to various fields in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
50 students from 15 countries participated up to 2024.
Program Eligibility
Students in below are eligible to participate in the Forefront Program and/or NUGELP after enrollment.
- Department of Civil Engineering, Graduate school of Engineering
- Department of Environmental Engineering and Architecture (Group of Sustainable Development Studies), Graduate school of Environmental Studies
Global 30 International Program is one of the admission ways into Civil and Environmental Engineering Group, and students who successfully passed will participate in the program. Global 30 students are also eligible to participate in Forefront Program and/or NUGELP.
